About Us

Northstar Building - 1950

Dr. Porter retired and OSU graduate Adam Parson purchased the hospital. The clinic’s name was changed to Northstar Animal Care and Pet Boarding at our one year anniversary. Dr. Parson is proud to be caring for animals in a building with such a strong historical connection to the Grandview community.

Even though the name of the clinic has changed, Dr. Parson plans to continue the personal attention, friendly client service, sensitivity to pets and their owners, and warm concern that are traditional in this neighborhood landmark. In addition to standard veterinary care and pet boarding, the clinic now offers laser procedures, pre-anesthetic blood work, emphasis on pain management before and after surgery, in-office lab work, radiographs, ECG, blood-pressure measurements, and close working relationships with specialists in all areas of animal health.

The Northstar family consists of skilled and compassionate staff that prides themselves on innovative veterinary care and preventative medicine, while maintaining a close and personal connection to you and your pet.
